BRISTOL – PYVOT, a young professionals group affiliated with the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce, is organizing a kickball tournament at Muzzy Field Sept. 17 to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association.
The tournament will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the city’s historic baseball field on Muzzy Street. Participation is open to anyone and people may sign-up as either individuals or teams of 8 to 10, with a maximum of 10 teams. Proceeds will support The Alzheimer’s Association. Carolyn Verikas, president of PYVOT (Professional Young Visionaries of Tomorrow), said that this is the first time this kickball tournament is being organized. She aims to make it an annual event, with a different beneficiary organization each year
Tickets are $15 for spectators, $20 for individual participants or $150 per team. Entry tickets include a voucher for a burger or hotdog along with a soft drink and an alcoholic drink.
Vendor tables are also available for $40.
